Mixtape: Bamboo Hermann
Bamboo Hermann's party-starting queer house classics mix is ideal for Pride Month
Frank And Oak staff
Montreal native Bamboo Hermann cut her teeth DJing, not in Montreal, but in the East London queer scene. Inspired by the UK's deep history and appreciation of club culture and dance music, she was encouraged by the thirving local queer scene and eventually started her own party, SHOES. Moving back to Montreal in 2016 she quickly integrated into the local electronic music scene. Her sets draw directly from the inclusive and festive spirit of the late 80s and early 90s queer and black house scene as well as UK dance and rave music.
We asked Bamboo to put together our latest Frank And Oak mix. Listen to her Pride-party-starting set below!

What if the things that set us apart are actually what bring us closer together? What if instead of saying “or”, we say And? True inclusion is as simple as one three letter word. Check out our latest “And” collection in support of Pride Month.
