We're in the dead of summer now! And while the heat can be staggering, it's not all short-shorts, tank tops, and flip-flops. Sometimes you do need to actually get dressed. With that in mind, here are 3 looks to tackle all the summer activities coming at you over the next couple months.
Our man Michael here is looking forward to the weekend. A weekend of summer music festival-going. The memories! The expensive food, the lines for the toilets, the heat, the crowds, the shirtless bros, the bad music, the...actually Joe is going to stay home this weekend – put on some records, invite some friends over, and fire up the grill. Yeah. Much better.
You don't have to be nautically inclined to imagine yourself in this seafaring fit. You there – on your sailboat in this light poplin smock. Hood drawn. Breton striped t-shirt, just revealing itself at the waist and a handsome pair of shorts to finish it off. You'll need to be mobile and flexible when you're battening down the hatches or whatever it is you do on a boat.
Hey, summer isn't all ice cream trucks and flowing fire hydrants. Sometimes it gets cool at night. Especially when you head out of town to the lake. That's this. A rugged denim jacket for when the sun goes down; soft, loose-fitting pants to protect from pesky mosquitos; and a cap to contain that windswept lake hair. It's been a long weekend – grab a cold one, grab your favourite Muskoka chair and watch the sun go down. You deserve it.
