Technical features

icon

Soft, silky plumes made from 100% polyester fibres mimicking the warmth and look of natural down while remaining free of animal-derived materials. Synthetic insulation retains all the qualities of down even when wet.

icon

This step in garment construction uses extreme heat to seal the seams with tape. That keeps water and moisture from getting in, resulting in a garment whose seams are both waterproof and windproof.

icon

A closed-loop recycling system that turns used polyester garments into new fabrics that boast the quality and feel of virgin polyester fibres. Old garments are shredded down into miniature chips, which are then spun into new polyester yarn and woven into fabric and can be found in many of our coat linings.

icon

A coating applied to outerwear that helps rain and moisture bead up on the surface and disperse. The stringent eco-process employed is fluorocarbon-free and doesn’t use fluoropolymers, resulting in an 80/5 rating—meaning that after 5 washes, the water-repellent coating will still be at 80% efficiency.

icon

Part of the shell, high-performance DuPont™ Sorona® fibres are made in part from annually renewable plant-based ingredients.

icon

A special weaving technique that reinforces materials (mainly nylon) so they resist tearing and ripping. During the weaving process, thicker reinforcement threads are interwoven at regular intervals in a special crosshatch pattern, resulting in a material that’s both incredibly durable and prevents fraying when torn.
